Da es mit dem Hydrospannern in Verbindung mit verstärkten Ventilfedern und Upgrade Nockenwellen zu Problemen mit dem OEM-Zahnriemenspanner kommen kann, haben wir dafür einen mechanischen Spanner entwickelt. Die Sicherungsmutter kann je nach Bedarf oben oder unten montiert werden (siehe Bild).
Advantage over the OEM hydro tensioner:
When the engine is shut down with a hydro tensioner, it can cause the timing belt between the two camshafts to become loose at a certain camshaft position. This only happens when upgrade camshafts and reinforced valve springs, pulls the camshaft in the opposite direction of engine rotation. Due to the pull of the camshaft, the timing belt between the two camshaft sprockets becomes loose and skips a tooth at the next engine start - this can lead to engine damage.
Additional information:
- only intended for racing, as the timing belt is no longer automatically retightened.
