THE-Audi RS6 C5 Motorsport engine mounts replace the vulnerable OEM engine mounts. Especially for high torque performance vehicles, the OEM mount can no longer withstand these loads. They are CNC machined from EN AW 7075 aluminum and have a sturdy rubber bearing in the center which reduces the tilting motion. THE- engine mounts also offer advantages over the original part when starting with sintered clutches. Due to the harder rubber bearing, the engine gets less play to move, which in turn has a positive effect on the startup.
Additional information:
- The first step in assembly is to set up the motor centrally.
- The bolts have the following order: the upper and lower nuts are to be tightened first and only then the middle through bolt is to be tightened with 70Nm.
- Upper and lower nut must be ordered originally, as they are not included in the scope of delivery.
- The OEM engine mount has an integrated electronic monitoring, this must be bridged with a resistor so that the engine control unit does not indicate an error (not suitable for public road traffic)
